Favorite Quotes from The Old Schoolhouse magazine

"I don't want my children fed or clothed by the state, but if I had to choose, I would prefer that to their being educated by the state." - Max Victor Belz

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
". . . the measure of your life's accomplishments is not in the number of failures but the tenacity of your spirit . . . Your distinction is not in the fact that you have failed. Most, if not all, people fail at some point. The distinction will be when you get back up . . ." - David Shibley
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Every child should have mud pies, grasshoppers, water bugs, tadpoles, frogs, mud turtles, elderberries, wild strawberries, acorns, chestnuts, trees to climb, brooks to wade, water lilies, woodchucks, bats, bees, butterflies, various animals to pet, hayfields, pinecones, rocks to roll, sand, snakes, huckleberries, and hornets; and any child who has been deprived of these has been deprived of the best part of education." - Luther Burbank

I think your boys are experiencing several items in the last quote =). As I've said before, you are a braver woman than I.

That's why that quote was so funny to me! I am no braver than you - it is courage from God that gets me through all these things....especially the snakes! YUCKY! What did I ever do to end up with such testosterone filled boys?! Well, I guess I wouldn't want sissy boys either so I am glad that I got what I got!
