Crystals

The boys got crystal growing sets for Easter. This went along great with our Future Rock Hounds of America program since we just were working on the Crystal Badge.
Jacob wanted to show the steps of how to make crystals. So, here we go!

First, open the crystal starting package:

Then, make sure the goggles are in place and pour the crystal starter in the mixing container.

Add boiling water.

Then stir until all the mixture is dissolved.Pour the dissolved mixture over the rock in the growing box.WAIT, WAIT, WAIT for those little crystals to start growing.

Patience is a virtue!

Enjoyed the photos of the crystal project. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy those boys for me. Ours guys now 23 and 27 years old and our daughter is 29. We home schooled all three from K-12, and I loved being their teacher. Miss those days!

I can't believe how fast the boys grow!!! They are now 9 and 12. We just celebrated their birthdays and it seemed like just yesterday I was holding them right after they were born.
